Matt Posner
Born and raised in Pensacola, Matt received his B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of West Florida and a Master's in Global Sustainability from the University of South Florida. Matt has worked in local government since 2014 and was hired as Escambia County’s RESTORE Program Manager in 2017 to oversee development and implementation of restoration, resilience, infrastructure, and economic development projects resulting from the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Settlement. Matt was one of many individuals responsible for establishing the Pensacola & Perdido Bays Estuary Program. In November 2019 he was appointed as Interim Director and in 2021 Matt was appointed as Director. In his spare time, Matt enjoys time to himself to relax and recharge, hammocking, reading, and spending time out on the boat with his family.
