Nina Coli

Nina holds B.S in Environmental Science with a minor in Marine Science from at the University of South Carolina. During her time at USC, she interned at Rutgers University studying living shorelines and oyster aquaculture and at the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services working on their recycling program. While at USC she also conducted independent research in the Biogeochemistry lab. Nina investigated sinking particles in the Santa Barbara Basin through lab and data analyses to clarify their role in the marine carbon and nutrient cycles, particularly within a high‑sedimentation environment. After graduating, she served as a General Chemistry Lab Instructor for undergraduate courses.

At PPBEP, Nina assists with implementation and monitoring for the Living Shoreline Assistance Program, the Microbial Source Tracking project, and the Water Quality Monitoring Collaborative Program.

In her free time she loves to travel, listen to podcasts, watch live music performances, and support her local community at farmers’ markets and the public library.

Nina can be reached at [email protected].
